Full transparency on how RankJudge makes money and why it matters
The Bottom Line
RankJudge includes affiliate links to the tools we recommend. If you purchase through our links, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This changes neither our verdicts nor how we evaluate.
How RankJudge Uses Affiliate Links
RankJudge is an independent tool comparison site. We fund our research and content through affiliate commissions. Here's how it works:
What We Do
- Evaluate AI SEO tools against published benchmarks and vendor documentation
- Write methodology and verdicts transparently
- Include affiliate links when available
- Disclose affiliate status clearly on every linked tool
What We DON'T Do
- Score tools higher because they have better affiliate commission terms
- Exclude runner-ups because they don't have affiliate programs
- Remove honest criticism to keep vendors happy
- Accept paid placements or sponsored reviews
- Let vendors pay to change their verdicts
- Gather customer data or sell contact information
Why This Matters
Independence Through Affiliate Revenue
Affiliate commissions let us stay independent. We don't need venture capital, sponsor deals, or subscriptions. We assess tools on our terms and publish verdicts without outside pressure.
Affiliate Links Aren't Endorsement
Having an affiliate link doesn't mean we endorse a tool as "best for everyone." It means we assessed it, found it a genuine fit for a specific use case, and will get a small commission if you buy through us. Vendors pay affiliate networks for this, not us directly.
Affiliate Status Is Always Disclosed
Every time you see a link to a tool on RankJudge, it's affiliate-linked (if available). We don't hide affiliate links and then surprise you later. You see "→ Learn More" = affiliate link. You're never surprised.
Affiliate Margins Don't Change Our Rankings
Some tools offer 5% commission. Some offer 40%. We assess them the same way and score them on whether they solve the problem, not on commission terms. That is why some runners-up carry no affiliate link at all. They are worth recommending whether or not we get paid.
Why We Chose Affiliate Revenue
We considered other business models:
- Subscription (users pay us): Creates incentive to exclude free tools or cheap alternatives. Bad for readers.
- Sponsorships from vendors: Creates pressure to score sponsors higher. Compromises independence.
- Ads on the site: Creates incentive to keep you on-page, not sending you to what's best for you.
- Affiliate links: We get paid if you buy, but the vendor pays the affiliate network, not us directly. Minimal pressure on verdicts.
We chose affiliates because it aligns our incentives with yours: We make money when we recommend tools you actually buy. That means we're motivated to recommend tools that work, not just tools that pay the most.
Our Affiliate Partners
RankJudge participates in affiliate programs for:
- Distribb
- Search Atlas (LinkGraph)
- Keysearch
- Lowfruits
- Mangools
- Other AI SEO tools as we add them
Not every tool has an affiliate program. If a tool scores well but doesn't have an affiliate link, we still recommend it as a runner-up. Our verdicts don't change based on commission availability.
No Customer Data Collection
RankJudge does NOT:
- Ask for your email (no newsletter)
- Sell your contact information
- Track you across the web
- Collect personal data
We don't need it. When you click an affiliate link, the vendor sees you came from RankJudge. That's enough. All customer data stays with them, where it belongs.
