RankJudge is an independent comparison site for AI SEO and AEO software, run by one named person who reads vendor pricing pages and publishes the date he read them. It sells no software of its own. It exists because almost every AI SEO tool comparison you can find was written by a company with a product in its own list.

Why this site exists

Search for the best AI SEO tool and you get a wall of comparison articles that all reach different conclusions. Check who published them and a pattern appears. Many come from companies selling one of the tools being ranked.

That does not make the content wrong. It does mean the criteria were chosen by someone with a stake in the answer, and the reader is rarely told.

We checked the most-read comparisons in this space and wrote up what we found inan audit anyone can verify. RankJudge sells no software, so there is nothing here for us to rank first.

Ron Kloth, one person, writing as RankJudge. Twenty years in financial services, seventeen running a local business, and two running Digital Papercuts, an SEO agency of his own. That last stretch is where the idea came from: watching small business owners pay for tools built for somebody else's problem.

This site used to carry no name at all, on the reasoning that a verdict should stand on its sources rather than on who wrote it. The sources still matter more than the byline, because every number here links to a vendor page or a published study you can open yourself. But a recommendation nobody signs is a recommendation nobody can be held to, and these pages name losers. So they are signed.

What makes this different

We read the vendor's own pricing page

No third-hand spec sheets. We check the source and record the date we checked it. The first time we did that properly, over one day in September 2026, we published 13 corrections to figures already on this site, across 11 different tools. Every one of them is still listed, with the date we caught it, atwhat these tools used to cost.

We say what we could not confirm

Comparison articles love a full spec table. Plenty of those numbers get copied between articles for years without anyone rechecking them. Where we could not verify something, the page says so instead of borrowing a figure.

We match the tool to the situation

A local plumber and a SaaS founder do not need the same software. Rather than ranking everything against everything, we name one defensible pick per kind of business, with the runner-up beside it and the tradeoff stated plainly.
